Gather to Serve
Church Upkeep Projects
Members of Liberty Road Faith Fellowship show their stewardship of resources by helping to maintain the buildings and grounds.
Whether it is a need to trim shrubbery, clean windows, sort and give away excess items, or prepare for a special event, members come together to get the projects completed. The need for help is publicized in The Current, and there are always enough volunteers to get the jobs done.
Ride Sharing
There are several of our members who would like to attend our worship services on Sunday mornings but are no longer comfortable behind the wheel.
If you are willing to pick someone up on your way to church on Sundays, please let the church office know (859-277-0420). Not only would this enable someone to attend in-person worship, but it would also provide a few brief moments of cordial conversation with a brother or sister in Christ.
Cookbook
During the COVID shutdown of 2020, Liberty Road Faith Fellowship members came together to develop a cookbook.
Entitled, Let’s Cook Through This – Let’s Cook Through This Together: Liberty Road Faith Fellowship Family Favorites, the cookbook compiles 147 favorite recipes from our congregation. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks go toward special projects.
Service Auction
Each year on Super Bowl Sunday (in February) Liberty Road Faith Fellowship holds a “Souper Bowl Lunch and Service Auction.”
Members contribute soups, sandwiches, and desserts for lunch after which the auction is held. Members donate their services and handmade items to auction. Services might include help with household repairs, pet sitting, and sewing.
Handmade articles include items such as handcrafted wreaths, handmade greeting cards, jewelry, and artwork. Proceeds are used for building improvement project.
Soup Ministry
When someone in our fellowship becomes ill, has surgery, or is unable to prepare food for themselves, our Soup Ministry is there to help.
Anyone can participate by preparing a soup of their choice, putting it into two-portion containers, labeling it, and bringing it to the church to be frozen.
Rev. Wood will have a variety of soups to choose from when she learns of a need or visits our homebound parishioners. If you would like to share in this ministry, please contact Bonnie Savage at 859-224-8792 or 859-338-9666.
Thank you for helping nurture and nourish those in our church whose illnesses prevent them from attending. It is important that everyone knows they are cared about, valued, and loved.
Missions
The goal of Christian Mission at Liberty Road Faith Fellowship is to be the hands, feet, and heart of Christ in the world.
“The king will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”
Liberty Road Faith Fellowship donates to and works for local, regional, national, and international projects that meet basic human needs in the name of Jesus.
We have taken food and household items to Kentucky flood victims, contributed funds to build wells in Africa, sent support to an orphanage in the Ukraine, given money and supplies to outfit an apartment for refugees, supported prison ministries, given school clothes for local children, supported Christian ministry in Israel, and much more. We also include the environment and animals in consideration of our mission projects.
