Our History

Liberty Road Faith Fellowship blends two rich church histories into a vibrant church entity today.

The Richmond Road Community Church in Lexington, Kentucky, traced its roots to the work of Rev. T. T. May and several steadfast Christians who formed the foundation of the church in 1966. That congregation built a new church building in 1988 on Liberty Road, where it stands today. With the new facility came a new name, Liberty Road Community Church, and Rev. May continued as pastor throughout the remainder of his ministry.

In 2009, another congregation began in Lexington using rented space for several years.

Named Faith Fellowship of Lexington, the church chose Dr. Bill Turner to serve as the part-time Senior Minister from 2009 until his death in 2016. During 2015 and early 2016, negotiations with Liberty Road Community Church resulted in an agreement to bring together Liberty Road Community Church and Faith Fellowship of Lexington into a single congregation to be named Liberty Road Faith Fellowship.

The two congregations first worshiped together on May 1, 2016. This blended congregation embraces Biblically-based preaching, traditional worship services and music, outreach and service to others, spiritual growth opportunities, and warm fellowship.
